Abdullah bin Zayed, Barbara Leaf discuss regional developments; humanitarian implications
This came at a meeting today in Abu Dhabi that covered the humanitarian implications of the current crisis and ways to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip at an intensive and sustainable pace.
The UAE Top Diplomat stressed the urgent priority of reaching a sustainable ceasefire and ending the extremism, tension, and violence that the region is suffering from.
Sheikh Abdullah noted that the dire humanitarian situation experienced by the brotherly Palestinian people under the occupation demands intensified efforts by all active parties in the international community to provide humanitarian support to civilians in an intensive and sustainable manner.
The meeting was attended by Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Ambassador Lana Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister for Political Affairs and Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
