• Please apply for the document attestation service through MoFA’s website or the Smart Mobile App for previously issued and unattested birth and death certificates.
• To issue a new birth certificate or death certificate attested by MoFA and the UAE Embassy in the country of destination, you can opt for MoFA’s digital attestation while applying for the certificate issuance through MOHAP’s digital channels, without the need to visit MoFA’s digital service provision channels.

• Yes, for previously issued and unattested birth and death certificates, please apply for the Documents Attestation service through MoFA’s website or the Smart Mobile App on iOS or Android.
• Note: For new birth certificates and death certificates issued by MOHAP, you can choose MoFA’s digital attestation while applying for certificate issuance through MOHAP’s electronic channels.

• Individual Affairs Documents: includes but not limited to: educational documents (certificate & transcripts are treated as two different documents) - birth certificates - death certificate - medical reports - good conduct certificate - marriage certificate, court-issued certificates – power of attorney of personal nature - to may it concern letters - employment contract - employment offer - bank statements - personal tax certificate – etc
• Commercial Documents: includes but not limited to: contract or agreement – commercial registration - appointment of a manager or a director – minutes of meeting of board of directors or partners – company change of name – brand registration - distribution agreement - corporate insurance certificate - corporate tax certificate - board of directors decision - trade license – partnership or shareholder certificate - annexes and appendices in commercial documents – memorandums – company closures – company branch registration – bankruptcy documents – financial statement – product registration – patent registration or waiver – trademark registration – power of attorney of commercial nature – general power of attorney - signature document – end-user certificate – tax certificate - completion certificate - any other document of commercial nature.

The original document must be sent to MoFA by courier to complete the attestation process.

An application for a return document - for newborns, is submitted on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the smart application, with the documents designated for the request being completed:

• A copy of the child's birth certificate certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country of residence and the country's mission abroad. A copy of the father's passport. A copy of the mother's passport. A copy of the marriage contract (certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the headquarters of the mission or the embassy).

• A copy of the complete family book

• Receipt of the return document via e-mail

• Personal status Documents (Inclusive of, but not limited to: Educational certificates, Diplomas, Educational transcripts, Birth certificates, Death certificates, Medical reports, Good conduct certificate, Marriage certificate, Court-issued certificates, Power of attorney of personal nature, To whom may it concern letters, Employment contract, Employment offer, Bank statements, Personal tax certificate)
