
H.E. Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan
Cabinet Member and Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan was appointed Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in February 2021, following a minor Cabinet reshuffle.
From 2017 to 2021, H.E. served as UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening bilateral relations and advancing cooperation across multiple sectors, contributing significantly to the shared interests of the two brotherly nations.
Between 2013 and 2014, H.E. chaired the UAE Equestrian Federation. During that period, he also underwent training at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
H.E. holds a Postgraduate Diploma in UAE Diplomacy and International Relations from the Emirates Diplomatic Academy (2017). He is also a graduate of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (2015–2016) and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sciences and Applied Media Studies from the Higher Colleges of Technology in Abu Dhabi in 2012.
