Brazilian Congress ratifies two agreements between UAE and Brazil on cooperation, investment facilitation and mutual administrative assistance in customs matters
The Brazilian Congress ratified the Agreement on Cooperation and Investment Facilitation and the Agreement on Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Customs Matters signed between the UAE and the Federative Republic of Brazil during a plenary session.
On the sidelines of the meeting, His Excellency Saleh Al Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to Brazil, met with His Excellency Rodrigo Pacheco, President of the Federal Senate, and Senator Esperidião Amin, rapporteur of the two agreements, and discussed the strategic partnership between the UAE and Brazil, which culminated in a recent visit by Brazilian President His Excellency Lula da Silva to the UAE.
His Excellency Al Suwaidi stated that the two agreements "will enhance mutual investments and elevate the strategic partnership for the benefit of the two peoples and countries.”
His Excellency also stressed that bilateral relations, especially in the field of investment, are experiencing continued development and will include new sectors.
