Her Excellency Fatima Khamis Al Mazrouei, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway, met with His Excellency Amund Vik, Minister of Petroleum and Energy of Norway, at the Ministry's headquarters.
During the meeting, they discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the UAE and Norway in all fields.
In addition, the two sides discussed the importance of reinforcing joint action in the field of climate change mitigation, particularly as the UAE prepares to host the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change at Expo City Dubai in November 2023.
The officials agreed that joint efforts and international cooperation must be intensified to achieve the objectives of COP28, which will focus on implementing climate commitments, working together to take concrete action, identifying solutions to address challenges, and leveraging opportunities to ensure a sustainable future for coming generations.
