1st edition of UAE-Kuwaiti consular committee held

The 1st edition of the joint UAE-Kuwaiti Consular Committee was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

HE Ahmed Saeed Elham Al Dhahiri, Assistant Under-Secretary for Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Faisal Al Ateeqi, Assistant Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs at the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry, co-chaired the meeting.

During the meeting, Al Dhahiri welcomed the Kuwaiti delegation. He said that holding this meeting at the level of the GCC states confirms keenness of the two sides to enhance strong bilateral relations and promotes ties to reflect the aspirations of the leadership of both countries.

For his part, Al Ateeqi extended thanks to the UAE for the warm welcome and hospitality, as well as the efforts exerted to prepare for the meeting. He also highlighted the strong and historic relations between the two fraternal countries. Al Ateeqi wished that the meeting would contribute to accomplishing more achievements which are on par with the aspirations of the prudent leaderships of the two countries.

They also tackled consular issues of mutual concern in various fields as well as consular work procedures in the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the end of the meeting, Al Dhahiri and Al Ateeqi signed the minutes of the committee meetings. In a related context, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry delegation visited the attestation centre and had an insight into the procedures followed at the attestation centres and e-attestation system in the country.
