What is the procedure for refunds on the amounts paid for the attestation service?

  • If your application is rejected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or UAE mission, the refund will be automatically processed within 14 working days.

  • If your application has not been delivered to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or mission abroad, please log into the Ministry's website, select 'application cancellation list,' and the refund will be processed within 14 working days. Please note that delivery fees are not refundable

How many documents can I submit in one request? And how long does it take to complete the Official Documents, Certificates and Commercial Invoices attestation service?

There is a limit to the number of documents you can submit in one transaction, based on the courier service pack you select. 

MoFA customers in the UAE can chose among the various courier services available:

1) Normal: 3 working days - up to 25 documents per transaction
2) Express: 1 working day - up to 10 documents per transaction
3) Prepaid Courier Service: there is no limit to the number of documents you can have attested. Various packages for companies and entities, please contact us for more details.

Courier-Based Attestation is used for documents that do not meet the requirements for Digital Attestation. When applying for the service, the Ministry's website determines the appropriate attestation method based on the information provided by the customer.

No. Please complete the application using accurate information about your document. The Ministry's website will determine whether your document will be processed through the Digital Attestation or Courier-Based Attestation pathway. Please do not select an incorrect issuing authority, document type, or destination country in an attempt to obtain a different attestation method.

The application will display the issuing authorities and document types currently supported.

Must the document be issued in the UAE?

Yes. Under this service, Digital Attestation applies to eligible documents issued in the UAE and intended for use outside the UAE. Documents issued outside the UAE are subject to the applicable attestation procedures.

No. Digital Attestation requires the original digital document issued electronically by the relevant issuing authority. A scanned copy, photograph, or manually created copy is not considered an original digital document.

Why can't I add another document to my application?

The first document determines the attestation method for the application. Any additional document must be compatible with the same attestation method. You may not be able to add another document if: • It requires a different attestation method. • It is not eligible for the attestation method determined by the first document. • The application already contains five documents. If the document requires a different attestation method, please submit it in a separate application.

Do not use the incomplete document. Download it again and ensure you open the latest complete version. If the issue persists, contact Customer Service with the application reference number.
