The meeting was convened in preparation for the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting, scheduled for April 28–29, 2025. During the meeting, members engaged in discussions to draft the Foreign Ministers' Statement, and discussed key areas of cooperation among the member states.
In his remarks, His Excellency emphasized the importance of achieving tangible economic outcomes that contribute positively to the economies of BRICS countries. His Excellency also commended the cooperation and the commitment of the members of the group to advancing economic collaboration.
On the sidelines of the meetings, His Excellency held several bilateral meetings with the Sherpa of Brazil — the host country — as well as with several other countries' Sherpas to discuss ways of reinforcing collaboration and bilateral ties.
