UAE Welcomes Signing of Declaration of Principles Between Democratic Republic of the Congo and Republic of Rwanda
His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, commended the efforts of the United States to facilitate the Declaration of Principles, and the role of the State of Qatar in hosting the Doha talks, along with the Nairobi and Luanda tracks, under the framework of the Southern African Development Community and the East African Community, supported by the African Union.
Furthermore, His Excellency underscored that international cooperation, which facilitated the signing of this declaration, reflects the significance of collective action in addressing regional issues, and the importance of resolving disputes through diplomatic means to achieve the aspirations of the peoples of the region for stability and development.
His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan affirmed the deep-rooted historic ties between the UAE and the African continent, stressing the country's continued support for any initiatives that contribute to enhancing security and prosperity in the continent.
