
His Excellency Hazza Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Cuba, commended the strong bilateral relations and close cooperation between the UAE and Caribbean countries during a meeting with the region's ambassadors in Havana.
During discussions with the ambassadors of Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Grenada, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago, His Excellency Al Kaabi highlighted the importance of the Year of Sustainability and the country’s unwavering commitment to a sustainable future.
His Excellency also commended the outcomes of COP28 and the historic ‘UAE Consensus,’ emphasizing that addressing climate change is a collective effort that necessitates the unity of all nations. In this regard, H.E. affirmed that the UAE will continue to collaborate with regional partners in the Caribbean and across the globe to achieve a more resilient and sustainable world for all.
H.E. Al Kaabi further expressed the UAE's solidarity with the countries affected by Hurricane Beryl, stating that the UAE stands with the region and will contribute to relief efforts.
