Abdullah Bin Zayed congratulates Kaja Kallas; discusses regional developments over phone

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, congratulated Kaja Kallas on her appointment as the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.

During a phone call today, the two sides discussed several topics related to cooperation between the UAE and the European Union and its member states, as well as ways to enhance these relations to serve their mutual interests.

The UAE Top Diplomat expressed his wishes for Kaja Kallas's success in her new role, praising the growing relations between the UAE and the European Union and its member states.

He said he looks forward to working with Kallas to build on the momentum in relations between the UAE and the EU, stressing the importance of leveraging all available opportunities to further develop the privileged partnership and cooperation between both sides to achieve their developmental goals.

The two sides also discussed recent developments in the Middle East, including the current situation in the Syrian Arab Republic.
