UAE President Confers First Class Medal of Independence on Ambassador of Uruguay

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, awarded the First-Class Medal of Independence to His Excellency Álvaro Carlo Ceriani, Ambassador of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay to the UAE, on the occasion of the end of his tenure as ambassador to the country, and in appreciation of his work to enhance bilateral ties.
Her Excellency Reem Bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, presented the medal to H.E. Ceriani during a meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, Her Excellency stressed the UAE's keenness to further strengthen relations with Uruguay across all fields, and to further advance cooperation to serve the mutual interest and aspirations of both countries and peoples. Furthermore, Her Excellency commended the Ambassador’s role in strengthening bilateral relations during his tenure, and expressed her wishes of future success.
For his part, H.E Ceriani expressed his appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, and commended the strengthening ties between the two countries across all fields. Furthermore, His Excellency commended the UAE’s accomplishments, reflecting the leadership’s commitment and aspirations to advance the UAE’s international position and reputation.
His Excellency also expressed his gratitude to all UAE entities for their cooperation, which contributed to the success of his mission to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.
