Concluding on 28th November in Abu Dhabi, this year’s conference is held under the theme ‘A Flexible Higher Education System Adapts to Rapid Global Developments’.
Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the heads of delegations and emphasised education as a national priority for the UAE, central to its development plans. He expressed hope that the conference would yield recommendations and actionable strategies to elevate the quality of higher education across the Arab world and enhance its global competitiveness.
The ministerial meeting of Arab Ministers Responsible for Higher Education and Scientific Research commenced today, with the UAE assuming the presidency of the conference.
The meeting involved a review of the UAE's experience in advancing its higher education system, a presentation on the implementation of recommendations from the 18th Conference held in Algeria in December 2021, and the approval of recommendations from the 19th Conference.
The conference will also issue the "Abu Dhabi Declaration" outlining a roadmap for developing Arab higher education and scientific research systems.
