His Excellency Jassim Mohammed Al Abdouli was received by Mauro Poggia, President of the Grand Council of the Republic and Canton of Geneva, at government headquarters on the occasion of assuming his duties as Consul General of the United Arab Emirates to Geneva.
HE Al Abdouli conveyed to Poggia the greetings of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, as well as their wishes for further development and prosperity for the Swiss Confederation.
For his part, Poggia expressed his greetings to UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, and expressed his wishes for further growth and prosperity for the people of the UAE.
Poggia expressed his wishes to the Consul General for success in his duties in bolstering relations between the UAE and the Swiss Confederation.
For his part, His Excellency Al Abdouli expressed his appreciation to the President of the Grand Council and noted his aspiration to further develop ties between the two countries in various fields, particularly the economic, trade, cultural and scientific sectors.
During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of common interest, prospects for bilateral cooperation between the UAE and the Swiss Confederation, and ways to expand it to meet the aspirations of the two countries and peoples.
