UAE President Invites Argentine President to COP28

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, extended an invitation to His Excellency Alberto Fernández, President of the Argentine Republic, to attend COP28, which will be held in Expo City Dubai in November.

His Excellency Saeed Abdullah Al Qamzi, UAE Ambassador to the Argentine Republic, delivered the invitation to His Excellency Santiago Cafiero, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Argentine Republic, during a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship in the capital, Buenos Aires. HE Al Qamzi also discussed with His Excellency Cafiero the UAE's preparations to host COP28.

His Excellency Al Qamzi reiterated the UAE's desire to strengthen cooperation with Argentina, pointing out that the UAE attaches great importance to its hosting of COP28 based on its commitment to global climate action. As a milestone in the climate agenda, COP28 will witness the first global review of progress made in implementing the objectives of the Paris Agreement.

His Excellency Cafiero thanked the UAE Government for the kind invitation and stressed the depth of the strong relations between the two countries, as well as his country's willingness to expand cooperation in various fields.
