A new batch of diplomats were sworn in before H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) in Abu Dhabi.
The event was attended by Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; Khalid Abdullah Belhoul, Under-Secretary of MoFAIC; Yacoub Yousef Al Hosani, Assistant Minister for International Development Affairs; Sultan Mohammad Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister for International Development Affairs; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs, and several assistant under-secretaries.
Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the 91 new diplomats and called on them to work hard to advance Emirati diplomacy.
The UAE is always seeking to boost its global leading status and is keen to enhance its relations with friendly countries and promote the values of tolerance, coexistence and human fraternity, he said.
It is also steadily moving forward thanks to the vision of its leadership and is achieving further successes, he added, calling on the diplomats to work as a team to strengthen the country’s regional and international reputation, he added.
The diplomats expressed their pride in working for the diplomatic corps, affirming their keenness to serve their country.
