H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan attends graduation of 42nd batch of UAEU students

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, yesterday attended the graduation ceremony of the 42nd batch of students from the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) who achieved top grades, totalling 621 undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The ceremony was held in the Great Hall at the university’s campus in Al Ain City, under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The event was also attended by several Sheikhs, ministers, ambassadors, senior officials and the graduates’ parents.
In his speech at the event, Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to the UAE President and President and Chancellor of UAEU, stressed that the university’s achievements since its inception are due to the legacy of the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and his wise vision to make UAEU the university of the future and a beacon of science and knowledge.
Nusseibeh then thanked President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and affirmed that UAEU will continue its academic journey with dedication and perseverance to educate generations of qualified graduates who have distinguished technical and professional skills, which will enable them to help achieve the UAE’s national agenda and the UAE Centennial 2071.
UAEU, he added, will qualified students in all areas of science and humanities, including advanced sciences, such as medicine, engineering, the environment and sustainability, climate change, space, genetic engineering and artificial intelligence, to participate in the process of national sustainable development and support the efforts of the UAE’s leadership to shape the future.
The 42nd batch of graduates totalled 2,584 students, including 621 who achieved top grades.
