The holding of the symposium comes within the framework of the keenness of the UAE and the People's Republic of China to strengthen and develop relations to serve the interests of the two countries and peoples, as the two countries maintain well-established strategic relations.

The agenda of the tenth session of the two-day symposium includes a number of important topics that focus on four axes: civilizational rapprochement as a gateway to communication and peaceful coexistence; respect for cultures, consolidation of human fraternity and respect for national identity; civilizational dialogue as a force for the progress and prosperity of human society; and the call for peace and dialogue as a basis for consolidating peace and stability.

His Excellency Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, and His Excellency Zhai Jun, the Chinese government’s special envoy to the Middle East and head of the Chinese delegation, as well as the head of the Arab League delegation, delivered opening speeches that focused on the depth of Arab-Chinese relations.

HE Al Sayegh highlighted the strong relations that unite the UAE with the People’s Republic of China, stressing that this historical relationship has witnessed significant development in all fields, as the comprehensive strategic partnership was signed in 2018. HE Al Sayegh added that bilateral relations are based on basic principles including adherence to the principles of respect for other cultures, tolerance, equality, and consolidating peace and stability. The two countries also share many common goals, including achieving sustainable development, growth and prosperity for their people.

The China-Arab States Cooperation Forum represents an important platform for enhancing cooperation between Arab countries and the People’s Republic of China, and exchanging experience and visions between the two sides across various fields, to contribute to achieving sustainable development in the region and around the world. The symposium embodies the keenness of both sides to deepen cooperation and strengthen current relations at a time when bilateral ties are entering a significant phase of mutual benefits, presenting opportunities to explore new partnerships across various sectors.
