
As part of the event, a playlist entitled “Happy Emirati Women’s Day: We Sing for Her,” which includes Emirati and Chinese female artists, was released on QQ Music to celebrate Emirati Women’s Day.
Commenting on the event, H.E. Dr. Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to China, stated: “The UAE recognizes Emirati women for their numerous contributions to the country. They have been an integral part of the UAE’s prominent achievements across all key fields.”
“As an inclusive, open, and tolerant society, the UAE is committed to empowering Emirati women. They have helped take the country to space and have broken records in senior positions, diplomatic missions, the armed forces, and other areas, such as aviation, renewable and clean energy, technology, engineering, and medicine,” His Excellency added.
His Excellency also noted that over the past 50 years, the UAE has empowered women through landmark initiatives and laws and was ranked first in the region on the Gender Equality Index, according to the United Nations Development Programme's Human Development Report.
