
The UAE Embassy in Canberra held a celebration on the occasion of Emirati Women's Day in the presence of ambassadors and diplomats at the embassy's headquarters in the Australian capital, Canberra.
His Excellency Abdulla Al Subousi, UAE Ambassador to Australia, delivered a speech underscoring the UAE’s achievements in the field of women’s empowerment as a priority of the country’s leadership.
The efforts of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), in empowering women in all fields were also highlighted.
For her part, Rawdha Al Mansoori, UAE Cultural Attaché in Australia, discussed the achievements of women in the UAE and their effective contributions to national development as equal partners to men with regards to rights, duties, and opportunities. Al Mansoori also highlighted that Emirati women now occupy leading positions in all fields.
