UAE Embassy in Canberra Celebrates International Day of the World’s Indigenous People - Australia

The UAE Embassy in Canberra held a cultural event on the occasion of the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples to commemorate the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia. The event was held in the presence of numerous ambassadors accredited to Australia.
His Excellency Abdulla Al Subousi, UAE Ambassador to Australia, delivered a speech during which he referred to the efforts of the UAE’s founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in strengthening appreciation for heritage among the people of the UAE. His Excellency emphasized that following the approach of the UAE’s founding father, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE continues upholding traditions, preserving the legacy of Sheikh Zayed and promoting the values of coexistence and dialogue.
His Excellency stressed the UAE Embassy's keenness to build bridges of cooperation between Emirati institutions and their Australian counterparts in order to enhance the exchange of experience and promote the preservation of cultural heritage at the community level.
