H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed meets EU official on sidelines of G20 meetings

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission.
During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 2022 G20 Bali Summit, Indonesia, the two sides discussed the strategic ties between the UAE and the EU and ways of reinforcing their overall cooperation.
They also discussed their cooperation and coordination in facing current global challenges, in addition to geopolitical factors and their impact on international stability, as well as several regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Sheikh Abdullah said the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is keen to enhance its relations with the EU in areas of mutual concern to enhance cooperation in facing global challenges.
Borrell said the two sides have deep-rooted strategic ties, expressing his keenness to strengthen their partnership which would contribute to boosting international stability and prosperity.
The meeting was also attended by Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State.
