Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan participates in Somali presidential inauguration ceremony

On behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State, participated in the inauguration ceremony of Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, held today in the Somali capital, Mogadishu.
Sheikh Shakhboot conveyed to President Mahmoud the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, wishing Somalia and its people further progress and development.
For his part, the President of Somalia conveyed his greetings to Their Highnesses Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and expressed his appreciation for the UAE's participation in the ceremony, wishing the UAE continued growth and prosperity.
Sheikh Shakhboot affirmed the UAE's commitment to continuing to provide support and aid to the Somali people and back their efforts to achieve peace, stability, and prosperity in their country, building on the historical relations between their countries and peoples.
He underscored the UAE's keenness to continue working with partners to promote peace in Somalia and achieve regional stability, stressing its full solidarity with the Somali people in efforts to combat terrorism while ensuring continued development and prosperity, which in turn, promotes global peace and security.
Sheikh Shakhboot said that the UAE is looking forward to enhancing its cooperation with Somalia in all fields to meet the aspirations of both nations.
