UAE Embassy in France, Dassault Aviation discuss cooperation

A delegation representing the UAE Embassy in Paris has visited Dassault Aviation to discuss opportunities for joint cooperation and means to further develop ties between the two sides.

The delegation, headed by Hend Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to France, met with Éric Trappier, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation, who praised the existing partnership with the UAE.

The UAE delegation commended the exceptional achievements made as part of the strategic partnership between the two countries, and the fruitful cooperation at various levels.

During the visit, members of the delegation were briefed on the distinguished training programme offered by the French company to trainees, which relies on advanced simulation technology. The delegation also met with Emirati trainees and were briefed on the progress of their training programme.

The UAE concluded the largest deal in the history of the French aviation industry. In December 2021, the UAE signed a contract with France that included purchasing 80 Rafale fighter jets manufactured by Dassault Aviation and Caracal helicopters, worth €17 billion.
