H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed receives Uruguayan Minister of Foreign Affairs at Expo 2020 Dubai
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received Francisco Carlos Bustillo Bonasso, Minister of Foreign Relations of Uruguay, at Expo 2020 Dubai.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the bilateral ties between the UAE and Uruguay and ways of strengthening their cooperation, as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern.
They then addressed Uruguay’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai and the role of this major event in promoting international cooperation, to support the global economic recovery.
Sheikh Abdullah welcomed Francisco Bonasso and stressed the keenness of the UAE to reinforce its relations with Uruguay and Latin American countries in all domains.
For his side, Minister Bonasso highlighted his country’s keenness to boost its ties with the UAE, lauding the impressive organisation of Expo 2020 Dubai, which is being held with the participation of 192 countries.
He also praised the UAE’s prominent regional and international stature.
The meeting was attended by Saeed Abdullah Saif Al Qamzi, Non-Resident Ambassador of the UAE to the Eastern Republic of Uruguay.
