Afra Mahash Al Hameli, Director of the Strategic Communications Department - Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, said that the Global Media Congress represents a notable opportunity for experts, policymakers, and professionals to better understand regional and international media.
Al Hameli expressed her pleasure at participating in the first edition of the Global Media Congress, highlighting its importance as a forum that presents an opportunity for participants to discuss the future of this vital field.
She said, "The Global Media Congress enables us to advance regional and international media at a time full of challenges that require us to create mechanisms to develop this sector. The convening of this forum in Abu Dhabi, organised by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), in cooperation with the Emirates News Agency (WAM), also contributes to achieving shared aims.
Al Hameli explained that the UAE has dedicated significant effort to incubating media and innovation in this field. This success would not have been possible without the country’s commitment to the values of coexistence, acceptance, embrace of science and technology, and the insightful vision of the UAE leadership, who have always encouraged the community through education and world-class facilities that attract global talent.
The Global Media Congress provides an interactive space to shape the future of this industry by sharing best practices and exploring the latest innovations in media and mass communication, Al Hameli concluded.
