UAE expresses solidarity with Tonga following volcano eruption, tsunami disaster

The UAE has expressed its sincere condolences and solidarity with the friendly Kingdom of Tonga over the victims of the tsunami, which followed the volcanic eruption in the Pacific Ocean.

The tsunami resulted in the killing of several people and caused severe damage to some islands.

In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed condolences and solace with the government and the people of Tonga, wishing the injured a swift recovery, as well as safety of the missing and displaced, who fled their destroyed homes and areas.
