Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan receives High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of European Union
Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State, has received Josep Borrell, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union and Vice-President of the European Commission, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Shakhbout welcomed Borrell who is visiting the country to participate in the 2021 World Policy Conference (WPC).
He stressed the UAE's keenness on working with European Union in all issues of mutual interest including combating extremism and climate change.
In turn, Borrell hailed the UAE's efforts and role played in the recent evacuation processes from Afghanistan.
The two sides also tackled a number of regional issues including the developments in the Horn of Africa.
