The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, MoFAIC, organised an Iftar reception in honour of heads of diplomatic missions in the UAE that represent member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, ASEAN.
The event titled "Strengthening Strategic Partnership" aimed to enhance cooperation with the ASEAN Committee in Abu Dhabi, which seeks to expand relations between the ASEAN, the UAE, and the region.
Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs, pointed out the deep historical relations between the two sides, which are reinforced by common values and commitment to security, peace, and prosperity.
A number of government representatives also attended the reception.
