President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace meets with Chairman of the Senate of Kazakhstan’s Parliament.

Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, Member of the Federal National Council, FNC, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace and his delegation met with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Chairman of the Senate of Kazakhstan’s Parliament.

Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to Kazakhstan, and Hind Hassan Al Dhaheri, Diplomatic Attache at the UAE Embassy, attended the meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the Kazakh Senate in Astana.

Tokayev highlighted the ongoing cooperation between the UAE and Kazakhstan and stressed that the ties between their leadership have reinforced and developed their bilateral cooperation.

He also highlighted the initiatives announced by Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan, related to tolerance, peace and peaceful coexistence among religions.

Tokayev invited Al Jarwan to attend the sixth session of the "Conference of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions," which will be held in Astana in October.

Al Jarwan briefed Tokayev about the council’s activities and key objectives while highlighting the importance of its relations with Kazakhstan and their exchange of knowledge in promoting tolerance and peace.

He then invited Kazakhstan to join the "International Tolerance Parliament" and praised its efforts to promote tolerance and peace, as well as its regional and international role.

Tokayev welcomed the idea of joining the parliament. Both sides also discussed other topics of mutual concern.
