H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met in New York yesterday with a number of Foreign Ministers on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly.
Those who met with H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, included Hussein Ibrahim Taha, Chadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Louise Mushikiwabo, Rwanda's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and East African Community, Simon Coveney, Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Khairat Abdul Rahmanov, Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Louis Straker, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Minister of Foreign Affairs, Commerce and Trade, and Taro Kono, Japan's Minister of Foreign Affairs.
During the meetings, bilateral relations and means of enhancing and developing them in various diplomatic, political, economic, trade, cultural, tourism, renewable energy and other fields, were discussed.
They also reviewed and exchanged views and political positions on the latest regional and international issues of common interest, especially the situation in Libya, Syria, among others on the UN agenda.
The meetings were attended by Lana Nusseibeh, UAE Permanent Representative to the UN, and Khaled Omran Al-Amiri, UAE Ambassador to Japan.
