
The UAE Government, through its embassy in the Lima, has provided US$3 million to support victims of recent natural disasters in the Republic of Peru.
A ceremony announcing the support was attended by Mohammed Yusouf Al Awadi, UAE Ambassador to Peru, and members of the embassy in Lima, along with Nestor Francisco Popolizio, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Peru, and Yesenia Ponce, President of the UAE-Peruvian Parliamentary Friendship Society, along with a number of Peruvian's Foreign Ministry senior officials.
On behalf of the Peruvian government, the Vice Minister thanked the UAE for its assistance, pointing out its great importance due to the size of losses suffered by the country, and praising the strong bilateral relations that bring together the two friendly countries.
