His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Christian Kern, Austrian Federal Chancellor, held talks on Thursday on plans to advance joint partnership in economic, trade and energy fields.
The meeting took place at the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed his hope that the visit would contribute towards consolidation of ties of friendship between the UAE and Austria in a manner that meets the aspirations of leaderships and people of the two countries for broader joint co-operation.
"Today's meeting provided an ideal opportunity for dialogue and exchange of ideas on issues of concern to the two countries in pursuit of robust bilateral co-operation in matters of common interest," His Highness Sheikh Mohamed affirmed.
The UAE, he stressed, is keen to bolster constructive relations with the friendly Republic of Austria and is working on it to bring positive returns.
The Austrian Federal Chancellor said he was glad to visit the UAE and discuss ways to enhance bilateral ties.
The two sides affirmed their mutual desire to expand ties of friendship and co-operation in economic and investment fields.
Present at the meeting were H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation; H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs;H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court;Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and CEO of the ADNOC Group; Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs and Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority (EAA).
