Saleh Ahmad Al Suwaidi, Ambassador of the UAE to New Zealand, received Clayton Kimpton, Special Envoy to the Middle East at the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, at the embassy yesterday.
The two sides reviewed bilateral relations between the UAE and New Zealand, and means of enhancing them.
Al Suwaidi praised the depth of bilateral relations with New Zealand in all aspects, which recently culminated in New Zealand announcing a budget of NZ$53.5 million for Expo 2020 Dubai.
Kimpton said that there are many opportunities for New Zealand to strengthen existing relations with the UAE, and other countries in the region, especially in the cultural, commercial and technical fields, stressing that the New Zealand participation at Expo 2020 Dubai will provide a platform and opportunity to promote New Zealand's potential in the economy, culture, tourism, trade and innovation fields.
