Hamad Abdul Razaq Al Awdhi, Acting Charge d'affaires of UAE Embassy in Ottawa, Canada has met with Canadian Minister of International Trade, Francois-Philippe Champagne.
The meeting was held on the occasion of the Canada-Arab Business Council Annual Forum and Gala Dinner on April 11th at Hilton Lac Leamy, Gatineau Quebec.
The forum was attended by key Canadian government officials, MPs, international finance, trade, business personalities, representatives of professional and academic organisations, and the media figures.
The theme was "Paving the Road to Stronger Partnerships." Like all CABC events, the Business Forum focusses on business opportunities in sectors where Canadian expertise matches Arab priorities.
The objective is to strengthen ongoing partnerships and to forge new ones. The gala dinner is an excellent venue to network with business executives, government leaders and diplomatic representatives.
Addressing the audience, Champagne hailed the strong and developing bilateral relations between Canada and the UAE. He also said that he looks forward to enhancing ties with all Arab countries and boosting joint co-operation in all fields, especially in trade and investment as well as facilitating and simplifying the procedures for obtaining visas for students in the region.
