Business Council for International Understanding hosts UAE Consul-General in business roundtable.
Majid Al-Suwaidi, United Arab Emirates Consul-General in New York, spoke to business and government leaders about UAE-US bilateral relations and opportunities for investment during a roundtable discussion hosted by the Business Council for International Understanding, BCIU.
During the discussion, Consul-General Al-Suwaidi provided details on the UAE’s trade relationship with the United States and focussed on industry areas, including finance, technology and renewable energy.
"Last year, the US enjoyed a $19 billion trade surplus with the UAE,"
Al-Suwaidi said. "According to the Census Bureau’s Foreign Trade Division at the U.S. Department of Commerce, the UAE remains the US’ top export destination for the entire Middle East and North Africa region."
BCIU is a nonpartisan, US-based organisation that works to expand international trade and commerce. The discussion was sponsored by Pegasus Capital Advisors and moderated by Pegasus Chief Operating Officer Rick Davis.
