UAE participates in Council of the Arab League meeting.

The United Arab Emirates, UAE, today participated in a meeting of the Council of the Arab League, being held by permanent representatives of Member States in preparation for a meeting of Arab foreign ministers, set to be held on Monday ahead of the 28th Arab Summit.

Ambassador of the UAE to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Mubarak Juma Al Jenaibi represented the UAE at the meeting.

The summit will be held amid a range of challenges facing the Arab region that require working towards fulfilling the legitimate aspirations of Arab people, said Mauritanian Ambassador to Cairo and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Weddadi Ould Sidi Haiba, in opening remarks.

Jordan took over the rotating presidency of the Arab Summit from Mauritanian, which presided over the 27th summit.
