H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on Tuesday, received Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA, Yukiya Amano.
During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the World Government Summit in Dubai, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the UAE and IAEA.
Sheikh Abdullah welcomed Amano's visit to the UAE. HH stressed the importance of partnership between the UAE and IAEA and its role to exchange knowledge and expertise between the two sides.
Yukiya Amano emphasised the importance of cooperation between the UAE and the agency. He also praised the UAE policy and efforts in the peaceful nuclear energy field.
Hamad Al Kaabi, UAE Permanent Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency, attended the meeting.
