The UAE and Costa Rica have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, on political consultations between the two countries.
The MoU was signed by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Manuel A. Gonzalez Sanz, Costa Rica's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship, during their meeting today in Abu Dhabi.
The two ministers discussed means of enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the UAE and Costa Rica in various fields. They also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region and tackled a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed welcomed the visit of Minister Sanz, and emphasised the UAE's keenness to strengthen mutual cooperation and friendship with Costa Rica across various fields in line with the aspirations of the two countries' leaders.
Minister Sanz lauded the distinguished relations between his country and the UAE, stressing the importance of bolstering bilateral cooperation. He also praised the UAE's leading position at regional and international levels, and the country's development at various levels.
The meeting was attended by Zaki Nusseibeh, Minister of State.
