H.H Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Meets Indian President at the Indian Presidential Palac.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, met on Wednesday Indian President Pranab Mukherjee at the Presidential Palace Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi is currently on a state visit to India and will participate in the Republic Day celebrations on 26th January as a chief guest.

The Indian President welcomed His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and hoped his visit would contribute towards further enhancement of ties of friendship and co-operation between the UAE and India and their people. He also wished further progress and development of these ties in all fields.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed said he was happy to visit India and meet the Indian President, and be a part of its national celebrations along with the friendly people. He also wished the Indian people more progress and prosperity.

The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince thanked the Indian President for inviting him to participate in India’s Republic Day celebrations. ''This kind invitation underpins the depth of the UAE-India ties,'' he said.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed conveyed the regards and congratulations of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Indian President and also conveyed his best wishes for development and progress to the Indian people.

In turn, President Mukherjee asked His Highness Sheikh Mohamed to convey his greetings to President Khalifa and his best wishes for more progress and prosperity to the friendly people of UAE.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed affirmed that the UAE, led by President Khalifa, pays special attention to its relations with India and its friendly people, adding that these ties have resulted in mutual benefits and close co-operation regarding issues of concern for both the countries.

The duo also discussed ways of boosting ties of friendship and co-operation, and exchanged views on latest regional and global developments of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by members of the high-level delegation accompanying Sheikh Mohamed which included H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy National Security Advisor, H.H. Sheikh Dhiyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary at the Court of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, Lt. General Hamad Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Dr. Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Banna, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of India, Dr. Mohammed Mattar Al Kaabi, Chairman of General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and a number of senior officials.

From the Indian side, it was attended by a group of ministers and senior officials.
