The United Arab Emirates has condemned the attack which targeted a church in northwest of France and led to killing of a priest, describing it as a barbaric and sinister crime.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said in a statement issued that targeting places of worship is a proof that terrorism knows no religion or principles and that its main purpose is to sow sedition and hatred.

The ministry added that the shocking crime exposes the despicable face of the perpetrators and those behind them and requires all to firmly work together to confront terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

The statement expressed UAE's solidarity with the friendly Republic of France and support to all its actions it may take in such circumstances.
