HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Emir of Qatar discuss fraternal cooperation, issues of common concern

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, have examined ways of promoting fraternal relations between the two countries and their brotherly peoples, as well as overall regional and international issues of common concern.

This came during a meeting , when the Emir of Qatar received H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the delegation accompanying him, at the Sea Palace in Doha.

H.H. Sheikh Mohamed conveyed to the Emir of Qatar, greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his wishes for Qatar and its people for further progress and prosperity.

The Emir of Qatar requested Sheikh Mohamed to convey greetings to H.H. Sheikh Khalifa as well as his wishes for further progress and prosperity for the people of the UAE.

During the meeting, attended by H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, and H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, the pair examined ways of bolstering and promoting fraternal ties in all spheres to serve the common interests of the two countries and their peoples.

They also stressed the importance of enhancing co-ordination and consultation within the framework of the progress being made by the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) so as to support the joint GCC action to counter various challenges.

The parties addressed overall Arab, regional and international developments and examined views on issues of common concern.

H.E. Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the UAE's National Security Council; Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court; Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani; Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatari Emiri Diwan, and a number of other Qatari officials attended the meeting.

Later, H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad hosted a lunch banquet in honour of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.
