UAE stresses support to all measures taken by Bahrain to protect its security, stability and safety of its citizens

The UAE fully backs all measures taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain to protect its security, stability and safety of its citizens, a senior UAE official has said.

H.E. Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, said in a statement that the UAE backs the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain in all its actions aimed at combating extremism and terrorism in its all forms and manifestations. "It condemns all attempts of groups associated with a foreign agenda to destabilise the security and stability of communities in Bahrain, as well as provoke discord and disruption of the Kingdom's national unity and security," he added.

In this context, he added, "the UAE reiterates its full support for all the measures announced by the Kingdom of Bahrain regarding the associations and organisations linked with the foreign agenda."

H.E. Dr. Gargash said that the national open and constructive approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and his wise government "represents national and development approach that embraces the future and prosperity of Bahrain."

He stressed, at the conclusion of his statement, that "the protection of these gains represent an absolute priority that requires support from all."
