HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed leads UAE delegation at 138th session of GCC FMs meeting in Riyadh

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has led the UAE participant delegation at the138th session of the GCC Ministerial Council, in Riyadh.

The event, held under the chairmanship of the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the current session of the Ministerial Council, Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, was attended by the GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani.

The meeting discussed the decisions of the GCC Supreme Council that have been implemented, including following-up the implementation of the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, regarding strengthening the GCC joint action, and what has been achieved within the framework of integration and co-operation among the GCC countries and ways of and developing them in all fields.

The ministers also discussed the Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and the reports referred by the ministerial committees and Secretariat General and other issues related to the relations between the GCC states and a number of international blocs in the framework of dialogues and strategic partnerships.

They also tackled the latest regional and international security developments, including the situation in Syria, Libya and Iraq.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed arrived in Riyadh and was received by Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir and GCC Chief Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani.

The UAE delegation included Ahmed Ali Al Baloushi, Director of Gulf Cooperation Council Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
