Ambassador of the UAE to Lebanon Hamad Saeed Al Shamsi and Chairman of Lebanon's High Relief Commission Major General Mohammed Khair have met to discuss development and relief projects being run by the UAE in Lebanon.
During their meeting at the UAE Embassy, the pair underlined the need for cooperation and joint efforts to promote and enhance humanitarian action.
Khair praised the UAE for playing a leading and significant role and stressed that its projects stand out as a unique civilised act amid the wars and crises that the world is undergoing.
He also praised the persistent efforts that the UAE Embassy is exerting to extend help to the Lebanese people and Syrian refugees without any discrimination.
The official further stressed that the initiative is not unusual for the UAE which has always stood for Lebanon in all circumstances and, as a leader in humanitarian work, spared no efforts to extend generous help.
