H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, received here in the presence of H.E. Dr. Amal Al Qubaisi, speaker of the Federal National Council, Latin American and the Caribbean Group "GRULAC," which is one of the biggest geopolitical groups in the Inter-Parliamentary Union, headed by Roberto Leon.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah and the guests discussed friendly relations between the UAE and the "GRULAC" and ways of enhancing them to serve the common interests of the two sides. They also tackled a number of topics and issues of common interest.
Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the visit of members of the Latin American and Caribbean Group, wishing them success in strengthening the communication and co-operation between Latin America and the UAE.
He also asserted the importance of strengthening the bonds of friendship and mutual co-operation between the two sides to enhance mutual interests of both parties, and help unify the parliamentary views and positions, and exchange of experiences.
For his part, Leon said that the visit of the delegation to the UAE reflects the keenness of the leaders of the two sides to exchange visits and meetings to further develop bilateral relations, stressing that the group seeks to revamp its bilateral relations with the UAE in a way that serves the interests of both sides.
