H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Comoros FM discuss stronger fraternal relations.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, has received El-Anrif Said Hassane, Minister of External Relations and Cooperation of the Comoros, to discuss bilateral relations and the latest developments in the region.

During the meeting which took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, MoFA, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah hailed the fraternal relations between the two countries and peoples.

The two parties also discussed ways of developing and promoting these relations in all spheres.

On his part, the Comoros foreign minister expressed his country's gratitude for the UAE's support. He also expressed his deep thanks for the UAE leadership for supporting economic and social development projects in his country.

Major General Faris Al Mazrouei, Assistant Foreign Minister for Security and Military Affairs, attended the meeting.

In May 2014, the UAE's Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation opened the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital in the Comoros, the first of its kind in the country and also the first to be established in a tropical island across the globe.

Using state-of-the-art medical equipment, the modern hospital provides advanced healthcare services and treatment to thousands of Comoros people.

In December 2014, President of the Comoros attended the inauguration of H.H. Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi Hospital in Moroni City, the capital of the country. The Government of Sharjah funded the building of the hospital.
