Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi, received UAE Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan who is currently on a visit to Tunisia.
Sheikh Abdullah conveyed to President Essebsi greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their wishes of further progress and prosperity to the people of Tunisia.
President Essebsi welcomed Sheikh Abdullah and asked him to pass on his greetings to Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his best wishes to the people of the UAE.
He praised the deep-rooted ties between the UAE and Tunisia and expressed his country's keenness to further strategic bilateral co-operation and co-ordination.
Sheikh Abdullah attended a lunch banquet hosted in his honour by the Tunisian President.
Also in attendance were Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Major-General Faris Mohammed Ahmed Al Mazrouei, Assistant Foreign Minister for Security and Military Affairs and Isa Al Qattam Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Tunisia.
