H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister of the UAE, has received Mongi Hamdi, Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Head of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in Mali (MINUSMA).
During the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the pair discussed cooperation between the UAE and the United Nations in the field of humanitarian and development aid for peoples and states to enable them to counter difficult circumstances resulting from wars and conflicts.
They also examined developments in Mali, the region and the world.
The MINUSMA was established on 25 April 2013 to carry out peacekeeping duties in Mali.
