Foreign ministry's undersecretary receives credentials of Filipino ambassador

The Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H.E Mohammed Mir Abdullah Al Raisi, received here the credentials of the Philippines Ambassador, H.E Constancio R. Vingong JR.

Al Raisi wished the new ambassador success in his assignment.

The new ambassador of the Philippines said he was pleased to represent his country in the UAE, a country that enjoys an excellent reputation worldwide, thanks to the wise policies of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The two countries established diplomatic relations in 1974. The UAE opened its embassy in Manila in 1989, while Philippines opened its embassy in Abu Dhabi in 1980.
